Ah, a somewhat good take on what humans are really like. Promise of your life, as well as the lives of your family, being taken care of as long as you survive? Well now, raw emotion will come into play.
This movie’s concept was a pretty twisted take on a popular game “would you rather”, hence the title. It was sadistic, unnerving, and made me angry.
The players were all too “goody goody”, then you had one woman who was just a plain bitch. Not what would really happen in a game such as this.
It wasn’t creepy or scary, but I did have to look away at one point during a scene where people were being drowned in a barrel of water, mainly due to the fact I have a fear of drowning.
The acting was good, and you actually got a sense that the people were really afraid for their lives.
Two people left, one man and one woman. As it is the woman’s turn, she has the option to kill the man and have her life taken care of, or walk out with the man and go back to regular life. She, of course, shoots the man. Not overly surprising, but since she was such a goody goody, I didn’t really expect her to just kill him without a second thought.
I give this movie a 6/10. Not scary, but worth seeing - as long as you aren’t paying money to do so.
